For this money the tweezers are cool. Compared with MS8911 the readings practically converge but the MS8911 readings are more stable. FNIRSI readings on resistances below 50 milliohms and capacitors less than 2nF constantly jump. On resistances above 100 milliohms and electrolytic capacitors everything is better. Huge plus is a color display visible from any angle. Diode voltage readings overestimate twice compared to a multimeter. Good for cursory general diagnosis if you do not need super accuracy.

C and L measurements have acceptable accuracy but ESR value is 2-3 times greater than other instruments and ESR dependence on measurement frequency is not correct. 3. Test signal voltage of 1V is not enough – not all diodes are defined. 4. Even with firmware 1.5 there is no correct calibration algorithm. 5. Unlike M63 there is no instrument protection when checking an uncharged capacitor – there are already examples of burnt devices.

Only negative thing was the FW update – received with FW 1.5 and during update to FW 1.6 instrument was stuck at 100%. Needed to open instrument disconnect the battery reassemble and then redo the FW update to 1.6 and then it was fixed.

It really is a useful little tool but it lacks one thing: voltage measurements. It would be really helpful for testing on breadboards and PCBs if this thing could measure voltage across components. One would not have to constantly look from the board to a multimeter and back if single-handed measurements with the display right next to it were possible.

The only flaw is a small firmware bug: when zeroing the resistance between the tips the difference is added rather than subtracted and this increases with each zeroing. Only by switching the instrument off and on is this reset. For everything else the tool is excellent and practical.

Equipment especially for checking SMD components before placing them particularly capacitors. There are measurement errors with diodes: silicon diodes measure around 0.5V but fast switching diodes in switching power supplies are measured as resistance not as diodes. Mounted on the board everything shows as resistance. In its favor it has good precision but small inductances in nanohenries only measures in 100 200 etc with no decimal places.
