I bought the DMC-100 to measure mainly active and standby currents for PCs HDDs and electric apparatus. For this purpose it fits perfectly and I like it. The problems but minor are ergonomic design on clamp trigger and flashlight button. I would rather the flashlight button move slightly downward to avoid pressing it when pressing the clamp trigger. It also did not come with a case.

A couple of things that cross my mind. I don’t see any way to calibrate zero on the DC clamp. I now have a few of the FNIRSI devices. What they need is one computer app that lets you plug all of them into a computer and view waveforms and chart results.

For the price I’m not sure you could beat this meter. True RMS clamp on AC and DC current and all the other testing functions usually only available on higher end DMMs plus rechargeable. I hope it’s durable enough.

I bought the Voltmeter and I was impressed with the unit. I always have used a Fluke industrial voltmeter but it does not have the capability to measure current using the clamp and this voltmeter does which is a big improvement. So far it has worked well and the unit seems solid and well-built and has a carrying pouch. For the price I paid this unit punches well above its weight.
