    I gave it 5 stars because in my opinion it deserves it! It is a versatile and useful hot air gun very silent and easy to use. I have ordered the pro version and I love it the stand is very sturdy and makes storing and changing nozzles very convenient. Too bad they only supply one nozzle though – the packing foam has space for 3 nozzles in it and FNIRSI should use it.

    Took me a while to work out how to turn it on – it’s the middle button on the display not the big button. Excellent for the price. So far only used it to desolder small ICs but it’s worked perfectly doing that.

    Haven’t had a chance to try PCB work with it yet but it’s a great hot air gun for the price with features that normally cost several hundred dollars in full size hot air stations. Looks and feels great in the hand and is much safer to use than a paint stripper gun when dealing with shrink tubing.

    Overall I am very impressed with the quality and performance of the SAG-55. It provides a wide range of temperature and airflow controls. However I encountered an issue where setting very high temperature with minimum airflow caused the heating coil to burn out. The firmware needs a safety feature to prevent dangerous combinations. I would also strongly encourage selling replacement parts such as heating elements and motors so customers can repair their own equipment.

    This hot air gun does exactly what it is supposed to. I got the standard model with the basic stand and it is perfectly adequate for my needs. Setting up the hot air gun will mean understanding the menu system. There are minimal physical control buttons and you will need to learn the menu. Once mastered you’re good to go. So far I’m really happy with the tool.

    This intelligent hot air gun is really the best. It’s as advertised easy to control and once on its stand quick to cool. And quiet too. Not my first product that I buy and not the last. I resoldered a tiny resistor with ease even while learning how to use the tool. Once off the stand it really heats up rapidly once the work is done it cools down rapidly on its stand. It’s really magic when operating with the gun and it’s so easy to manipulate and well balanced in your hand.
